Visit the magnificent Jama Masjid , one of the largest mosques in India. Then enjoy an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling lanes and vibrant markets of Old Delhi, where you'll experience the city's rich culture, colorful bazaars, and lively atmosphere. Next, visit the Raj Ghat , the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Continue to the spectacular Akshardham Temple , one of Delhi's largest and most impressive Hindu temples. (On Mondays, when Akshardham is closed, you will instead visit the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara , the city's most prominent Sikh temple.) Later, explore the magnificent Humayun's Tomb , a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Drive along the grand ceremonial boulevard Rajpath , passing the iconic India Gate , the Parliament House, and the Presidential Palace, with opportunities to admire and photograph these landmark government buildings from your vehicle. Conclude the day with a visit to the impressive Qutub Minar , another UNESCO World Heritage Site, where India's first mosque complex was established.

Day 3

Delhi to Agra

After breakfast, drive to Agra , the former capital of the Mughal Empire and one of India's most iconic travel destinations. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Agra Fort , a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Emperor Shah Jahan spent the final eight years of his life under house arrest. Continue to the elegant Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb , often referred to as the "Baby Taj" , built for the chief minister and father-in-law of Emperor Jahangir. Later, visit Mehtab Bagh , located on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River, to enjoy a spectacular rear view of the Taj Mahal . According to local legend, Shah Jahan had planned to build a second Taj Mahal in black marble on this site. Whether myth or history, the setting offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the monument. As the sun sets over the Taj Mahal, the peaceful gardens of Mehtab Bagh provide an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of your journey. Overnight stay at a heritage-style hotel in Agra.

He constructed a tour 14 day luxury tour for us which was beyond anything we imagined. For a reasonable price, he got us into some excellent hotels and arranged for us to have a safe driver who watched over us solicitously. Everywhere we went we had excellent guides and Piyush checked on us regularly to make sure we didn’t have any difficulties. We 100% recommend Piyush and his Indien Reiseleiter travel agency.”
